Goldiana Hotel Phnom Penh
Goldiana is tucked away in what seems like an alley near the center of Phnom Penh so there are no magnificant views, however with how easy it is to to get around in the city, being out of the way is no problem. In fact two or three tuk tuk drivers make camp right outside the hotel offering up rides. Of course like anywhere in Cambodia there is a ton of helpful staff, most which speak English and who also have great information. If your looking for pampering and want to spend extra cash you could probably find better digs, but if you just want a home base that's comfortable, quiet and easy, Goldiana won't do you wrong.
The Khmer Surin Restaurant is a beautiful cool oasis from the heat of Phnom Penh. The restaurant is surrounded by many lush exotic plants and it is an instant cooling effect with all the greenery.
Khmer Surin is situated in an old wooden Khmer building. The ground floor level has western style seating. The second level you are seated on cushions on the floor and low tables - Thai style and the third level is on the rooftop.
There is also some lovely pieces of furniture on display which you can purchase!
The average price for dishes is between $2 - $5 and there is also quite a good drinks menu including beer, wines, spirits, soft drinks etc.
The menu features a combination of Khmer and Thai dishes with Seafood Amok being one of the favorites.
We have been to the Khmer Surin Restaurant quite a few times and we highly recommend a visit. The food is delicious and very reasonably priced and serves are generous as well.
