Hotel Castle
Hotel Castle is in a fantastic location on Street 148, it is a 2 minute walk to the river front and the balcony rooms have views of the Tonle Sap and a wet market. We contacted the hotel before we left home and enquired about booking a deluxe room with balcony for 5 nights.
The rooms with breakfast cost us $60 a night and there is no need to pay in advance. They did not even want a deposit.
The hotel is not very old so everything is still new and fresh. The swimming pool and jacuzzi are beautiful and a good size. There is free internet access in the lobby and also an ATM which is very handy.
Hotel Castle is next door to Riverside Bistro and there is no problem at all with noise. There is a little mini mart opposite the hotel that sells absolutely everything you could think of.
The room was very nice and it was lovely to sleep in a comfortable bed which was not rock hard. All toiletries plus a hair dryer are provided. It was fantastic having a balcony, even if the railing was a bit low.
The hotel faces Street 148 and every day in the street there is a wet market which starts up very early around 5am and it is extremely noisy. But I have to say I loved being able to go out on my balcony and watch whatever was happening down there. To the right of the balcony there are also good views of the Tonle Sap.
Breakfast is buffet style and there is ample choice to keep everyone happy. The Golden Castle restaurant is on the top floor and there is an open air area which is perfect to sit and enjoy the 360 degree views.
We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Castle and would not hesitate to stay there again.

Excellent hotel in a very good location.
The hotel castle is a very fine 3-4 star tourist hotel that is located only half a block from the mekong river.
The rooms are very nice and well equipped and clean.
There is a nice common area in the lobby with free internet and reception staff was always very helpful during my stay there.
Unique Quality: First of all a very good location.
