Along the river - backpacker budget hotel
Found this accommodation through Lonely Planet Guide Book.
It is ethnic Chinese owned and cost USD12 night for a basic aircon accommodation with attached bathroom. The location is great as it is near the main stretch of the riverside in downtown Phnom Penh.
You can hire a tour guide on a motorcycle to take you around town. Or easily walk from the hotel down the promenade to restaurants and local activies in front of the Royal temples.
