Staying at Huangshan (Tunxi)
Had a great experience at the Huangshan Old Street Hostel. Stayed there with my family and strongly recommend it.
Hostel is conveniently located in the Old Street, it was an ideal place to roam around for sightseeing, food and shopping. Had a nice ancient style ambience & was very good for the price. Room was spacious & clean and the facilities offered was very good. Very friendly service and they offer tour and travel arrangement. We booked the coach from Tunxi to Huangshan and the coach picked us up from the hostel (save us having to make our own way to the normal pick-up point at the train station). You can even loan (free) the walking sticks for your Huangshan mountain hike.
There's a fine restaurant (Mei Shi Ren Jia) directly opposite. Food was great and reasonably priced. Lodgers from the hostel gets a 10% discount on the bill (just get the discount card from the hostel reception).
If you're considering to stay at Tunxi, give this hostel a try - you will surely like it.
