I was supposed to have a non window single room but for some reason they gave me a room, with a window, that I could see the rooftops of the Forbidden City ! Pretty cool I thought.
The hotel is not particularly grand and the carpet is somewhat dirty but the room was clean and fairly well appointed with hair dryer, free bottle of water each day that they cleaned, hot water kettle and a generally comfortable bed. There is a writing desk and small table and chair for relaxing. Internet access is by both hardwire or wifi so it worked out ok. Mind you, internet access in China is fairly slow so keep that in mind no matter how fast they say it is.
The hotel is very near to the F.City, Wangfujing food court, Tian an men square and the subway although if it is raining give yourself time to get a taxi out front, it can take a while.
They have a travel agent inside the hotel if you need a tour or a plane ticket too.
We did find one receptionist who spoke some English but don't count on it. Have some Mandarin written out or something to get your point across.
All in all it was a pretty good stay ( 4 nights ) although not cheap by Chinese standards at 300 RMB per night ( about $50 US ) but if you want convenience it's one hotel in Beijing that's hard to beat.
Unforunately I can't find the photo of the entrance or of the room interior. :-(
Directions: Wangfujing subway station, head east to Nanheyan, go north and it will be about 100 meters or so on the east side of the street, can't miss it. Make sure you have the address in Chinese just in case you need to ask someone.
