Dong Jiao Min Xiang
A Four Star Hotel? To put it in perspective, the Chinese tourism board rates it public toilets, and four star WC's still has squat toilets, and often lack T.P. So in comparison, this is the Ritz. But it is not a four star hotel by any strech- more like two.
Bummers:
The staff speaks NO english, except for ONE person, who works the night shift.
Questionable cleanliness, maids use dirty rags and some rooms have bugs
No pool, or gym, despite what the website says. (Just a sign for a pool that was painted over)
Much of the hotel (and city of Beijing) is "Under construction for 'Olymplic Purposes' "
Limited Internet
Use caution when booking tours in the downstairs office, make sure you get a round trip shuttle
Only one or two english tv stations
Bonus:
EXCELLENT location- closest hotel to the sights.
