I have found here a really helpful staff.
I have travelled from Shanghai to Beijing by airplane. Due to a delay, I arrived at Beijing airport around 02:00 a.m., and I have decided do not take a taxi by night staying in the airport. When I arrived at the hostel early in the morning, the owner asked me about my first booked night and, after my explanation, she has decided do not charge the first night.
Internet wasn't for free, but they never charged for 10 minutes.
Underground station is only about 2 min. on foot, close to Bank of China.
Markets and restaurants are also available at a short walking distance.
It was not so hard to reach Tiananmen Square on foot!
