My wife and I felt that our stay at the Grandview Garden hotel exceeded our expectations. We were pleasantly surprised. The room was clean and comfortable. The restaurant had a varied selection including western fare. The staff was courteous but slightly challenged dealing with English speaking guests. We definately would recommend the Grandview Garden Hotel to others.
Hi
We are a bunch of south asians planning to visit Beijing from 2nd Feb to 7th Feb. Being south asians we have never experienced climates colder than 6' c.
Our questions are
1. What would be the average day temperature and the night temperature like during this period?
2. What sort of warm clothing would you advise?
3. Are the shops open during this perios and what time do they close?
4. We plan to stay at Grand View Garden Hotel. Any coments on the hotel reagrds to amenities and shopping and eating places in the surrounding area?
Thanks a bunch for your repsonses
The temperature in Feb is range from -8C to 6C. Generally, we wear thick clothing, such as feather filled coat or thick woolen sweater.
Most of big shopping center are open from 9:am to 9pm
good luck
The first 3-4 days during your visit still fall into Chinese New Year holiday. (Chinese can get 7 days off for New Year, isn't that nice?) Store hours are probably pretty long. When I was there, stores were open till mid night on X'mas eve. But long hours wouldn't help as it was pretty crowded.
