    Hademen Hotel

    by

Hademen Hotel is located right next to the railway station, which gives you the opportunity of using the Airport Shuttle to the station. What annoyed me was the ringing phone on the floor during the whole night and the crappy bathrooms.

    Unique Quality: Location, location, location.

Directions: 300 metres from Beijing Railway Station

Peking Duck

by Queennie about Hademen Hotel Restaurant

Speciality of the house is Peking Duck... They do it right!

They served also delicious fresh seafood. You can choose from the aquarium or they will bring the living fish in a plastic bag to your table for you to approve your choice.

They serve also delicious shrimps!

((It's a pity the personel does not speak or understand much English, so that can cause some misunderstanding...) I love almost all chinese food, so I have no special favorite dish.

Locker at Railway Station Beijing or at Hademen Hotel

by Carino

Hello dear Travel Mates! I'll travel from Beijing to Pyongyang in February and I want to store some stuff at a locker at the Station. Does anyone know if the Station does provide lockers, how much they cost and if I can store something for about a week? Alternatively I could also store my stuff at the Hademen Hotel. Yet as I want to store my cellphone as well, it should be safe. Can anyone help me out?

No lockers, but every train or long-distance bus station I've visited in Beijing had a number of manual luggage storage places ie you pay a sum of money (about 10 RMB, usually, for any amount of time) and they put your stuff in a room, tag it and look after it for you. I don't think they help to water plants and feed pets though. :P Just joking!
I believe the Hademen Hotel should be able to help store stuff too, maybe even for free, especially if you're staying at the hotel before and after your Pyongyang trip.

Contrary to advice given, there are left luggage lockers in most major stations in China. There are also, as has been indicated, storage companies at all stations (it is big business). Personally, I'd leave stuff with a hotel, especially if you are coming back to the same place.

Have done all three many times.
