Located in the Chaoyang district, the Landmark is a large complex that includes the hotel, small shopping mall, apartments and businesses. It can feel a bit isolated. There are some nice attractions nearby if you like to walk.
I had a standard room and it was a bit on the small side but fit my needs just fine. The staff were friendly and the room cleaned thoroughly each day. The bathroom seemed to have some mold in the corners on the floor but other than that the room was fine.
There is no wifi in the rooms. Only on the third floor near the restaurants and in the lobby. The lobby is spacious but there is limited seating. There are no smoking signs in the seating area but this is routinely ignored by the locals and I never saw hotel staff enforce the policy.
The lobby also features a money exchange machine that was very convenient. However, the rate was .05 Yuan lower than market and there was a service fee of 20 Yuan per 100USD exchanged.
On my last day, the water in my toilet flushed brown.
I might stay here again but I was not a big fan because of the location.
Unique Quality: They do have a fitness center. There is also a pool next to the fitness center but they leave the doors open so the air has a chlorine small and very humid.
Good thing about this place is Taxi drivers know where it is. You should not be left stranded.
Nice rooms for an upscale hotel near the heart of Beijing. The lower two floors of the hotel contain a couple of restaurants and some gift shops selling items which could probably be found for a little bit cheaper on the street. A big plus for those who might crave a little of western food, is that the Hard Rock Cafe is located right next door to the hotel along with a Starbuck's on the other side of the front of the hotel
Unique Quality: The facilities included:
colour tv with satelite/cable
tea and coffee making facilities
Overall, the hotel had everything needed for any traveller, although it seemed geared more for the business traveller
Directions: 8 km from the city center, 10 km from the Beijing Train Station railway station, 1 km from the North Dongsanhuan - Nong Zhan, 4 km from the China International Exhibition Center.
