Difficult to find at first, worth the money

When I came from the airport, my taxi, and several subsequent taxis took to a place ( similar name I suppose) around the corner, if this happens, ask for directions to Wang Fu Jin, then find Dong Dan San Tiao, its right next to the Wang Fu Jin Bookstore and the McDonalds, the proper street is just to the left behind the McDonalds (thirty meters or so) turn down and the hotel will be on your left. The staff arent fluent (in english) but proficient and helpful! for the 30/40 USD it cost me per night, I was certainly satisfied. I admit I got a bit tired of CCTV9 as the only english language option, but once again, you cant expect everything for that cost. The internet was only dial up, and it took a bit to figure out how to get it to work (call a number from your modem after you hook it in to your computer), it is about 1 USD per hour. There is also International Direct Dialing, it is about a 1 USD per minute, and the phone is completely clear, but that may have been due to any of a number of issues. The beds are hard, but you can ask a member of housekeeping, they are helpful almost to a fault, but very pleasant. I intend to book this hotel when I return to Beijing.

Unique Quality: The best part of this hotel is the location, no more than thirty meters from the Wang Fu Jin (including corners). The staff are nice. From the hotel, a taxi stand in perhaps 100 meters away and a metro station is about the same. The hotel restaurant is good, but it is independently owned, by a very nice family, but once again english is limited. If are a walker, and haven't looked at a map, this hotel is no more than a kilometer away from the Forbidden City.
