For any type of electronics shopping in Beijing, Zhongguancun area is the best. The electronics market in this area has a huge variety of items and you can have a good choice.

Dinghao building or Hailong plaza ,you can try to go around ,maybe with low price .The subway 10.line could get here. But the shops is very crowed ,spcially at weekend .

Do not buy the Iphone fakes. The battery life is terrible (4 to 8 hours if you don't use the touch screen) and the menu is awkward. Almost any phone you find there is a fake unless the price is high, then it is real and costs the same as the real phone in your country.
Travel Tips for Beijing
Blue skies... what blue skies??
by Green_Frog
The thing we missed most about home was blue skies.
In 28 days of travel in China, we saw only 4 days of blue skies.
We were there in April 2010 and it was extremely cold in Beijing with a few morning temps down to 0 degrees. Lucky the Guesthouse offered us extra blankets and a heater because we would've never coped with these temperatures. All floors are tiled with no carpet so it makes it even colder. Showers are mainly open showers - a nozzle on the wall with no doors so it's absolutely freezing.
I would definitely travel in warmer weather but they were having a cold spell that week. Keeping in mind that China (like Australia) is a HUGE country and although it was very cold in Beijing by the time we arrived in Hong Kong we were hot!! In hindsight we should've done the trip mirror reverse, but wanted to enjoy the Wall in cooler weather - didn't expect freezing weather!!! A week after we'd left Beijing, Alvin emailed us to inform us there was snow on the Wall, there'd been snow a fortnight prior to our arrival. Blue Skies the day we visited the Temple of Heaven - priceless.
Beijing Tip
by london.gal
I visited the Beijing zoo but was very sad at the pathetic state of the entire place. I was really tempted - at that moment - to send the park officials inside the Panda House to make them clean up/scrub the whole place!!! The poor pandas seem badly traumatised by the way they've been treated!!!!!!
Umbrella and Water Mist Spray
by MarianneRules
If it’s hot when you go to visit, buy an umbrella when you get there. It’s a life saver in that sun. We also had water spray..one of those things I almost didn’t bring that ended up being invaluable!
Entry of the Forbidden City....
by weeklygo
Entry of the Forbidden City. Inside is the Da Xiong Bao Dian, Where the emperor used to have early morning meeting. It is just a meeting room actually...I bet if any one of the businessman in the Wall Street have a meeting room like that, he is gonna cry happy tears. I will (@_@,)
Late-night Snacks
by beijingboyce about Sanlitun Bar Street
If you are looking to get some filler in your gut before pouring in the Qingdao, here are some good places in the Sanlitun area. These are all one street over from the main (and tiresome) drag, in the Tongli Studio area and are within a one-minute walk of each other. Kebab Nation - great kebabs, one will be enough; Saddle - huge burritos; Berber 'N - the best BBQ in the area; Fish Nation - fish and chips, naturally; The Tree - some of the city's best pizza, this is a good place to kick off the evening, since it has more of a restaurant feel. The crowds in this area tend to get younger and younger as the evening wears on and it takes on a college feel after 10 or 11 PM.

Q: Tour "We are group of 3 kiwi students with 2.5 full days to explore in Beijing on a budget. Want to see the 'must do's' great..."
A: "Two and a half days would be enough for what you mentioned. You won't need a tour for visiting these places except Great Wall. If you choose Badaling section, you can do..."
