Weather

by canrie

I will be coming over next week to Beijing. Would appreciate if anyone could let me know the weather there for day and night.
will it be so cold at night and sunny on the day time?
thanks a lot.

Re: Weather

by chinamonty

I just looked at the current weather in Beijing and it is suggesting 29C during the day and 21C at night so I would expect the weather to be similar temps next week. They are forecasting occasional thunderstorms.

Travel Tips for Beijing

I love Beijing

by cinthya_in_victoria

I spent 3 days in Beijing and could visit almost every important place. If you'll be there for a day or so, I recommend you to visit the Great Wall and the Forbidden City at least I have great memories from this place, it was so much more of what I expected it to be. Walking on the Great Wall and through the Forbidden City were the most amazing experiences I took home. Definitely a place to visit before you die

Beijing Tip

The corridor inside the Imperial Palace.
Can you imagine how bore and lonely of those girl live inside the palace just waiting for one men every day and night. Some even ever been met their husband(the king)for the rest of their life........At last they just die without any memories except their parent's thought and tears.

A guide book with Chinese translations

by easyoar

Make sure you bring a Guide Book with you (obviously written in your local language), but make sure alongside every attraction heading, it has the Chinese name written in Chinese alongside. I found however hard I tried, the taxi drivers could not understand my attempts at Chinese, but most could read the Chinese in the guidebook.

As soon as you arrive in your hotel, make sure you get a card from your hotel that has their name and address in Chinese too, for the same reasons.

Tanzhe Temple

by nepalgoods

Tanzhe Temple origins derive from 3rd century . It is one of the oldest Buddhist temples. Today's buildings are all from Ming and Qing dynasty.

The temple is situated in a lovely surrounding with many old fir trees. An old Gingko-Tree is said to be more than 1000 years old.

It started its history in Eastern Jing Dynasties as Temple of Excellent Blessings.

There is an old saying: “First there was Tanzhe and then there was Youzhou (a name for the Beijing region dating back to the sixth century),”

Today the name of the Temple is "Temple of the Pool and the Wild Mulberry"

Live Band

by Swwaattcchh about Red Moon, Grand Hyatt

It's more of a chill out lounge for business travellers.
But the strawberry martini is great! :)

There's also a live band and a cigar section for those who likes to try out the many different cigars. Smart Casual
