Not Convenient

Terrible (1.0 of 5.0 stars)
by written on July 21, 2012

For a 3-star hotel charging around RMB350 /twin room/night, the service was not all good. The rooms are definitely old. We stayed on the 2nd floor. The towels were not changed everyday and we got confused because the towels we hang to dry separately were put back on the rack, folded as if new. When one friend asked for additional bath amenities, she was told that they only change or add every other day.
Breakfast was included but only 1 person per room gets to eat free-- another quirk of the service.
There are no groceries /food shops nearby. Most are fashion shops selling clothes, shirts and socks. We had to walk the side streets to look for snack shops wherein to buy water or snacks.
On our last day, we requested if we could have packed sandwiches or snacks as we were leaving early but got a negative answer.
I will not recommend this hotel to anybody and certainly do not plan to stay there again.

Unique Quality: The only thing here is that you get to observe Beijing local life at close range as all the shops nearby are like neighborhood stores. Either the owners live in the same building as the shop or they live nearby.

Directions: There's a subway nearby and the next stop is near the Forbidden City.
