A good choice if need to stay close to airport
A well facilitated 4 stars hotel, only 5 minutes to the airport. The hotel is nice but too faraway from downtown. In addition, it is a little bit noise as plane land and taken off very often.

Helpfulness
Best cost-benefit
I stayed there for twice: when I arrived in and left China. Service is very good, people are friendly and polite.
Nice international hotel which is the best option for one-day stops, by its location near the airport.
It's also a good option if you plan to go to Beijing one day before your flight to Europe or to the U.S.
Unique Quality: The restaurants located in the hotel are very good as well... visit the night club with the excuse to exchange your welcome drink voucher...
The hotel also offers a shuttle bus to and back the city centre every two hours. Another good reason not to spend money on taxis. A ride to city centre can be expensive.

I oftentimes use this hotel when I arrive on late flights into Beijing and don't want to take a latenight taxi ride into the city. The hotel is a short 5 minutes ride away from Capital Airport and has excellent dining facilities. I strongly recommend the Buffet Lunch at the Swiss Chalet (Hotel Restaurant)
This is an excellent hotel if you need to be close to the airport for an early morning flight, or would like to stay close to the airport after a long flight from either Europe or the Americas.

The Chinese Restaurant in the Sino-Swiss Hotel- Sorry, I don't remember the name of it Be forewarned that ordering tea is not a simple thing in China. You get a tea list as extensive as the wine list in a good restaurant! I chose a mid-priced oolong tea. I thought the price was per cup, and was shocked at how small the cup was. But I soon found out that the cup was refilled indefinately, as well as my travelmate's. We finally had to refuse more tea just to let them know we were finished and they could bring us the check. The sweet and sour pork was very good. Totally different from what is served here with the bright red starch/sugar mixture. It was more tangy and tomato based, almost like a BBQ sauce.

I only spent about 36 hours in Beijing, so this page will be not be very extensive! But for what it is worth, this is my experience. *Sino-Swiss Hotel *Great Wall *Friendship Store *Tiananmen Square *Forbidden City *Pearl Factory *Airport - 2x in two days! I had my six year old in tow, so if anyone wants to know about going around the world with little ones, feel free to ask!

Beijing Airport hotel suggestions
by hayleyoz
Hi there,
Does anyone have any advice regarding hotels at Beijing Capital Airport? It's for a business trip, staying for two weeks. I've found quite a few hotels, but they either have poor reviews or none at all.
Many thanks in advance,
Hayley

It seems like you will be quite isolated, far away from all the sites and fun of the city if you must stay at the airport for the entire two weeks. The airport is a good 40 minute drive from central Beijing, depending on traffic.
That said, if you have to stay the whole time at the airport area, the Crowne Plaza International Airport hotel is new and very nice, and just 5 minutes from the new exhibition center.

yes, beijing capital airport is isolated from downtown and has nothing there. Except your activity is inside the hotel or you get a car. I do not recommend.
but if you must, there is a ibis chain-hotel maybe you are familiar with:

Thanks for your helpful responses. The people travelling are actually working at the airport, so they need to stay nearby.
Many thanks,
Hayley :)

Oh, well that explains it, as we were ALL wondering why on earth someone would actually choose to stay for 2 weeks close to the airport and AWAY from the sights of the city! Good luck with your Hotel selections :)
The restaurants located in the hotel are very good as well... visit the night club with the excuse to exchange your welcome drink voucher...
