Great Wall Sheraton Hotel, Beijing is ideally located. The Great Wall Sheraton Hotel in Beijing is located in the center of town near the business and diplomatic districts, and is approximately 1 mile from Beijing Metropolitan Airport, and 14 miles from Beijing International Airport. Local attractions include the China International Exhibition Center and the Agricultural Exhibition Center, both located less than one mile away, the Forbidden City, approximately four miles from the property, and Tiananmen Square, approximately seven miles away.
Opinion of Price: more expensive than average

The Great Wall Sheraton Hotel Beijing
One of the oldest 5-star hotel. Facilities are old: toilette is small; room is not very well insulated from noise, there is a big gap between the main door and the floor.
Unique Quality: Well, if you like pretty Chinese girls, China's no.1 night club/KTV is in this hotel. It is called "Tian Shang Ren Jian" (Paradise/heavy on earth).
It has a mysterious background: founded by a son-in-law of a very significant central government official and strong relationship with police/military offices. Girls working there have all gone through a rigorous selection process including appearance, health, and intellectual perspectives.
The price is also breath-taking: 100-200 US$ for a few drink with a girl in the bar area; with 600 US$ you may enjoy a private session with a girl in a VIP room; as for sex, depends on the rank of the girls, you cost will start from 1000 US$ to unlimited

Good breakfast, nice rooms, awesome facilities
"Ni hao, This is your wake up call" A lovely female voice wake up call.
I had a really good stay at the Sheraton. It is a first class hotel with friendly helpful staff members at every corner... I don't think I ever had to wait for an elevator.
The concierge was very helpful with planning sightseeing excursions and they spoke good English. There are many gift shops also located in the hotel.
Unique Quality: Nice lobby to have a drink and people watch. Great breakfast, nice swimming pool, tennis courts and excercise facilities. There is also a dance club inside the hotel.

A wonderful Luxury Hotel
I was overwhelmed with the luxury already existing at the time of my first visit in 1985. The contrast to other areas of the city was enormous.
Room was big, comfortable and had nice views. Food was good, especially if you're craving some American... Location, service, views all great, would recommend it highly and we'll stay there again when we go back. We got a great price due to wife working at Starwood, so i'm not sure what the cost was like.... Great location central to shopping, Pearl Market, Sanlitun (the bar section) and tourist spots. Servers a decent breakfast buffet with lots of American food. The Hard Rock Cafe is right next door, and there are some great local restaurants right around the corner.

Very upscale hotel - in the mornings, the breakfast is served on the top floor of the hotel, and there are some nice views of the sprawling city.

I stay at the Sheraton Great Wall when ever I am in Beijing. Since I am a platnium member of their program they always give me a great room.
The hotel is very upscale and has great service. The breakfast buffet is one of the best I have ever seen.
It is next door to the Hard Rock Cafe.

They say it is a converted old Chinese Mao-period building. It still partly shows. Not that enticing.

You'll have to tell the hotel that. They don't have squash facilities.
