This hotel provides a nice respite from a hectic business trip. Service was excellent and room was spacious and clean.
Highly recommended for business trip on not so tight budget.
Comfort & quiet despite being in the city centre.
This hotel has excellent service for a 3-star rating. It has at least 4 restaurants and one of them is a revolving one on the top floor. The rooms are clean which includes a safety deposit box and a mini bar.
It has all the amenities that you will need including a massage parlor, spa and a gift shop. My ex beau (inset) and I decided to get a "Chinese massage". He was hoping to get a girl but was soo disappointed to get a toothless, skinny guy who massaged the crap out of him. My bf was so traumatized by this experience... "Honey, he massaged my butt too!" Apparently, in Mainland or maybe in this hotel, it's male to male, female to female service.
It's directly across the street from the Beijing Zoo. What a delight for those who's never seen a Panda bear! I know I was psyched... get to see Chin-Chin and it's walking distance!

Cheap and comfortable. Good location. Booking in advance is recommended - always full of travellers.
Quite clean, cheap and cozy. One of the best you can find in downtown. Sanlitun Bar street and Main Embassy Area are near by. Shopping malls, markets. Peking Duck... you name it! Not close to subway, but it takes about 10 mins by bus to the nearest.
The Beijing Taiwan Hotel is situted in Wangfujing, Beijing's busiest and most famous downtown area. The Taiwan Hotel is uniquely positioned to provide convenience as well as quality service to its guests. The nearest sights include the Wangfujing Department Store and Sun Dong An Plaza, two tourist "must-sees" in Beijing. Such attractions as the Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square, Zhongshan Park and Beihai Park are all within walking range of the Hotel, which also borders on Dong Huamen Specialty Food Market. I stayed at this hotel during my first trip to Beijing and find that it is good with an excellent location.

This is a very nice and cosy hotel (3.5 stars) located in the Chaoyang district just next to the famous Panjiayuan antique bazaar of Beijing (south-eastern part of the city). The nearest attraction is the Temple of Heaven. The theme of this hotel is of the Guangxi province in the south-western part of China (in fact, about 80% of hotel staff are from that province). Because of this, the rooms, walkways, performances, hotel staff and even the food are of Guangxi origin, which is very colourful and tasty. It is worth staying at this hotel which is good, friendly staff and not expensive, the only problem is that it is not near to major attractions such as Tiananmen Square, Forbidden Palace, Summer Palace etc.

An inn in disguise. Nestled inside a common backstreet yet surrounded with lots of restaurants, shopping stores where locals go. It has a nice courtyard, a pleasant dining room and an excellent room.
The service is outstanding and yes! they do speak English and Chinese... very helpful and accommodating.
Q: beijing to xian train ticket "is it ideal to book my train ticket on my arrival to beijing 3 days before departing to xian? or it has to be done online 15 days..."
A: "most of the online tickets are over-priced.You can just do it in Beijing when you are there...3 days before the departure will be fine for the Xian ticket"
