Has anyone gone on the yangtze river cruise recently? Is it still breathtaking scenery and worth going, even though I have heard that the water has already risen by up to 100m and many residents have already been relocated?
Yes, the Yangtze river cruise is still worthwhile even though the water level has risen provided that you have smog free days. I just returned from a Yangtze river cruise; unfortunately smog diminished the enjoyment.
The main districts of Chongqing locate along Changjiang(Yangzi) River. One branch of it-Jialing River also flows across Chongqing. Countless hills and low mountains can be seen everywhere, which characterize this city with unique beauty.

When I woke up one lazy morning (it was sweltering outside 40deg), I saw this industrial town. Like towns upstream, things looked pretty grim here. I was glad that I am in my air conditioned enclosure!
