half a day in chongqing

Hi,
i have half a day to spare in chongqing after getting off a cruise and before i catch my flight.
does anyone have any suggestions of how best to pass the time? is there anything that should definitely do?
also, is there anywhere i could leave my luggage while i do this?

GET OUT. I know I say the same thing about China in general but it's true- ask anyone- even the Chinese. But should you live or stay there for a while and not contract TB, you have lived to see another day- and that's quite a thrill. Ah, I dare not say it, but I will -leaving. But that was well after I had many other fond and wonderful memories (including meeting my 'brothers' from Turkey in this photo). But leaving was a relief after being heckled and threatened for being an American after their embassy was bombed in Belgrade.

Most people in Europe know Chongqing because it is the starting point of Yangzi-Cruises downriver.
The Yangzi River is about 6.300km long. It is the longest river in Asia. That is why the Chinese people call the Yangzi "Changjiang" which means "Long River".
The Yangzi River is very important economically. The Three-Gorges-Damm will provide China with electricity and protect the plains downriver from the yearly floods.
