Packing List
by LAOWAI
Take everything you need because it's generally not available in ChongQing- unless Carrefore has it. And they probably don't.
But you can buy a mobile phone for cheap here. If you don't want to, then you can always use the public phones. (see photo) Everything for all seasons except snow. Bring what you need. Developing is OK here but that's all I would count on. Don't do it in ChongQIng- being outside isn't very healthy at all here.
More than meets the eye!

"An Ancient Capital"
Often overlooked by travel guides and poorly promoted locally, Chongqing, twice the capital of China has a lot to offer both visitors and the permanent resident.
It's an ancient city with a few remaining remnants of her rambling city wall. Perched, sometimes precariously on the steep banks of the Yangtze and Jialing Rivers it has been a major transport and logistics hub for centuries.
Behind and often in the shadow of this modern bustling city is another world where people live a more familiar, slow and simple life. Next time you are rushing through, stop a moment and step into the past - down one of countless narrow stairs and alleyways.
