Quite a Gem

I stayed here with some friends in the 1st week of October 2009, during the National Day holidays. They booked and paid for the room, so I'm not sure what the price was, but later upon checking I would put the price at around 250-300 RMB/night.
The hotel's location isn't particularly central, nor is it in a lively area. We had to walk quite a long way back from where we had dinner.
Otherwise, the room facilities are very good for the price. The hotel was recently renovated in 2008 and thus quite new and clean. Beds were firm but comfortable. There's food and drink (water, Coke, instant noodles etc) for sale on the room table in case you get hungry. There's a hairdryer in the bathroom, which was nice.
Chinese-style buffet breakfast was included in the room price, with items such as porridge, steamed buns, preserved vegetables, sunny-side-up eggs, tea eggs and even roast duck (?!). We went down a little late but there was still enough to eat, though I mostly ate plain porridge and egg cooked in various ways... I probably ate about 4-5 eggs in that one breakfast! Other guests who came later, a little before the breakfast buffet ended, complained that there was nothing left to eat -- there was still plenty of plain porridge left but almost no dishes, who wants to eat plain porridge on its own! The kitchen staff hurried to cook an extra dish or two, but most of them chose to leave and find breakfast elsewhere.
