While the hotel is fairly simple , caters mainly to overseas Chinese guests and cannot be compared to the international chain hotels, it was clean and met all our basic requirements. Don't expect 5 or even 4 star comforts . It is more like 2.5 stars. We took the most basic room, which was really small. How small? Well, if you see the picture, i took you will notice that there is basically no division between the toilet/bathroom area and the sleeping area. But it did not really matter to us because we were not in Xiamen to hang around in the hotel room anyway.
The thing we liked best about the hotel was the buffet breakfast. It served traditional chinese food like congee, noodles, dim sum ,etc which was surprisingly good. I have had far worse meals at supposedly 5 star chinese run hotels in Beijing.
