Good Place for Western Comfort
My boyfriend and I moved to Xiamen a few months ago. While looking for an apartment to rent, we stayed at a hostel near the city center. The hostel was adequate, but not comfortable. After a few days sleeping on a traditional Chinese mattress in a room without heat in the Xiamen winter, we both badly needed a soft bed, a warm bath and a great western breakfast. The Marco Polo was the perfect spot for us.
Unique Quality: Nice views of Yuandang Lake and the Xiamen skyline. Easy access to many western restuarants and coffee shops. Pool during warmer months, small but adequate fitness facility, great western buffet.
