Hu Li Shan Fortress

There is one cannon, which has been recognised to be largest in the world, antique from Qing Dynasty. There used to be two, but one was melted during the crazy culture revolution in mid-60s. Also, this fortress used to be a barrack during the Qing Dynasty. During the China-Japan war, this cannon had successfully destroy one Japanese ship. The cannon was made in Germany, and travelled half of the world to reach it current location.
Huli Mountain Cannon Platform

Huli Shan Pao Tai (Huli Mountain Cannon Platform) is a 19th century piece of german heavy artillery with a range of over 10,000 meters. This cannon is located near a beach and was used to protect Xiamen from invaders.
There is a nice little park and fort to see here and on a clear day you can make some of the islands that are part of taiwan from across the ocean.

I am now live in Xiamen, a beautiful coastal city in the southeast part of China. It covers a land area of 1565.09 square kilometers and sea area of over 300 square kilometers. Xiamen is one of the Cleanest Cities of China, the Garden Cities of China, the National Environmental Protection Model Cities, and the best sightseeing cities in China. Not only being wealthy with travel resources, Xiamen has also temperate weather, fast and convient transport and communication, and complete travel establishments.
