It will be hold in 12 different place, such as: People Hall, Art Theatre, Lianhua Cinema etc. Gamers will live in some schools and hostels.

Xiamen is not so big, the downtown is around Zhongshan road, food is cheap if you don't have dinner in hotel restaurant. Easy to find fast food restaurants around, price is cheap and almost the same.

Travel Tips for Xiamen

Senior citizens passing time

by SLLiew

With new economic growth, old houses have been bulldozed down for brand new high rise apartments where neighbors hardly even see each other except when taking the common lift.

Yet, in parts of old Xiamen, pockets of communities still interacting in the old ways. Where you know whose whose children are doing what and whose whose children have gone overseas and not coming back.

Worth walking through the old neigborhood of years passed by.

Nanputuo Temple

by xiquinho

A thousand-year-old Tang Dynasty temple five kilometers from downtown Xiamen, this major monastery is packed with Buddhist statuary. Great Mercy Hall is open to the public, as is the temple's well-known vegetarian restaurant.

"legendary status of this place"

locater just minutes off the coast from Xiamen, this island enjoys legendary status with locals and visitors (Dick Nixon lodged here in 1972). Despite its small size, its narrow cobblestone streets are crammed with colonial-style buildings fronted by large terraced patios lending it an almost Bavarian look. Automobiles are banned from the island creating a calm, park-like atmosphere. Sunlight Rock and Koxinga Memorial Hall are two of its more popular attractions. The ferry ride from Xiamen leaves every 15 minutes and is free if you stand, or CNY1 if you grab a seat on the upper deck
