Feitian Binguan: Ole Backpackers' Favourite
Opposite the long-distance bus station, 120 RMB for twin with ensuite. There's a tour agent in the courtyard.

Jia Ri Hotel (Da Jiu Dian)
Listed in Lonely Planet China 2005. Twin with ensuite for 120 RMB. Nothing special, just pleasant and clean.
Unique Quality: The shuttle bus to Dunhuang train station and Mogao Grottoes is about 10m from the hotel, beside Dunhuang Binguan.

Dunhuang Fandian: Dunhuang Fandian
We got a triple room with ensuite and 24-hour hot water for 150 RMB (off-peak price) when we called by phone. However the reception tried to demand a price of 260 RMB but gave up when we took our bags and pretended to leave. There's a good small restaurant behind the restaurant with beef noodles and etc. Many hotels (especially the cheap ones) are closed in off-peak season.
Unique Quality: The best of the 3-star hotels in Dunhuang.
