We stayed at the Ren Chen Hotel which is centrally located in the Village Square and therefore walking distance to all attractions. The rooms are semi comfortable (but very cold!!) and there are hot water restrictions with hot water coming on (if you're lucky) between 7 - 9pm or thereabouts.
The hotel has a laundry service, common area and a restaurant and bar so is quite a comfortable place to stay with most amenities.
The Lanzhou Mansion hotel is a very large building with a slow elevator. It can cost you some time to get down to the lobby. The elevators are not very spacious and certainly take their time.
The lobby of the hotel looks great and very expensive. The rooms were normal, not large not small.
The next morning the breakfast was supposed to be surved from 7:30, and as we were leaving at 8:00 we were there at 7:30. But no breakfast, personal told us in very poor english it would take another 30 minutes before they were ready......
So we bought some food at the railwaystation opposite the hotel.
