We were able to hire a boat to take us out for a tranquil glide across the placid waters of the lake... Pictured in the image here, myself and Xiujuan enjoy sitting underneath the boat's canopy, a welcome escape from the intense heat of the Guangdong sun...
As the Chinese listened in awe, I continued playing, a thud here, a smack there, building to a crescendo of thunderous beats...! It's nearly impossible to stop once you get into a groove...! I began to see several patterns of the universe unfolding, but suddenly, I heard Xiujuan calling -- we had to continue along the path...!
Wow, what's this...?? A totem pole...? A column, of some devise, a symbol known far back as the days of ancient Greece...! Surely, we had left the wilderness and found civilization...! Not in the most idyllic Gandhian sense, surely, but it was something... In this case, it was the grounds of the enduring and majestic Qingyun Temple...!
After the conclusion of the great feast at Qingyun Temple, we wandered wantonly about the temple grounds until finally stumbling upon this curious creature... a sprite or a gryphon frozen in stone...? In fact, it was a friendly dragon cherub, perched at the crossroads... We ventured forward...
After the absolute chaos of the water battle had come to its conclusion, the two girls made a truce and established a commitment to keep the peace...! Here they are, once again best of friends, cheek to cheek...! Just look at their adorable smiles...!
