Does anyone know where I can go to watch the Rugby World Cup matches in Guangzhou? Give me some names of Sports bars or sports clubs or venues where I can go to see the games? Or is there a New Zealanders' club or area in Guangzhou? Thanks.

Don't know if there is any bar shows the Rugby world cup.
But if you have digital cable at home, there are some foreign TV stations avilable, such as ESPN, etc. call the cable-tv company to open it.
The Elephant and Castle bar on Huangshi Dong Lu (I think it's number 363, but the only times I'm there I'm plastered and can ) is showing most matches - not the ones at 4am Chinese time, unless there's a massive demand, but virtually all N/Z, England, Aus games etc are shown.

Not quite as well known as the Guangzhou Museum of Art, the Guangdong Museum of Art is equally modern, and houses a wonderful collection of mostly very, very contemporary art... The museum also includes an extensive outdoor sculpture garden and an interior courtyard with sculpture garden... Shown here, a magnificent sculpture of a naked woman riding a jungle cat, which is displayed just at the entrance to the musuem...

I visit Guangzhou regularly on business but rarely get to see much more than the hotel, restaurants and the airport. My Guangzhou pages and tips will be a little less informative on the cultural and historical side than usual.
Guangzhou is a better city than the Rough Guide or Lonely Planet suggests. It is a big, sprawling city, but one which is more like Hong Kong or Singapore than Shanghai or Beijing.
Despite the constant activity and construction, it feels more finished and complete than other Chinese cities. It seems less affluent than Shanghai, and more middle-class than Beijing.
It's all a little more orderly than the central and northern cities, and the traffic feels an awful lot safer! There isn't the absurd mentality of drivers, a little more patience and a little more common sense out on the roads.
