by lzxian

Hi all,

I am considering to go to Guangzhou next year. And I was thinking of which month to go. And may I know which are the places of interest?

Is there any website for me to visit?

Thanks

Hi,

Thanks for your reply. I will definitely look into it.

Actually, what I meant which is the best month to visit Guangzhou whereby the weather is good.

Look on Weather Underground (Guangzhou) for historical weather data: http://www.wunderground.com/global/stations/59287.html

Situated in the subtropical zone and on the Tropic of Cancer, Guangzhou enjoys a pleasant temperature most of the year round. After Kunming, this city ranks as the city with the minimum temperature differences. It is neither too hot in summer here, nor too cold in winter. However, there is abundant rainfall here, making the scenery very lush and green but also ensuring that visitors need an umbrella or a raincoat! Autumn is the best time of year to visit and this season can last from May until November when it is cool and comfortable .

Travel Tips for Guangzhou

Guangxiao Temple

by THLIN

This is a temple dating back to more than one thousand years ago when Zen introduced to China. I am deeply touched here; people come here to pray, so did I. I seldom have an experience that I am in China after I come to work here, but this time I really know I am in a historical temple in China.
The main god enshrining in the temple is Guanyin, goddess of mercy and the sixth and the last successor of Zen, Master Huineng.
I did not take a lot of picture when I am in the temple, unlike those foreigner visitors. I think that people come here to pray for the future, like the Westerners go to church, and Muslim goes to Mosque. All prayers wish not to be bothered when communicating with their god.
Please simply take metro to Ximen Kou.

Baiyun Mountain (White Cloud Mountain)

by xiquinho

Consists of some 30 peaks and is about 15km north of the city. The mountain region is refreshingly lush and green, and has some nice scenery, especially during sunset. A botanical garden and a bird park have recently been opened as new tourist attractions.
