Hi!
That isn't it, Ellyse according to mentioned below.

The schedule “Guangzhou-Kowloon (Hung Hom) Through Train”:

MTR (public transportation in Hong Kong): http://www.mtr.com.hk/

For goodness sakes please make the distinction between the train and the metro (MTR) systems. They're not one and the same. This traveller asked about *a* train, which I took to mean ONE single train journey without involving any changing enroute.

Hi ellyse!
The only things, who I meant was to these replies, were incorrect: "there is not; just bus or limo" by emmet7. And this quotation of you "Above answer is correct".

You can get a direct train Guangzhou (Guangzhou East station) to Hung Hom. This means going through immigration before you board the train. At Hung Hom you can catch the airport bus A21 (I think). I'm not sure where the Airport Express train leaves from - Kowloon I think (different station).

You can probably take a bus from Guangzhou through to HK airport, but normally you have to get off at the border and go through on foot, with your luggage. Except I hear that has changed recently. And also going to the airport might mean a change of bus anyway. But it's all fairly painless.

Sorry about that. Misposted answers should've been for another thread.

Re: train from guangzhou

I still stand by my answer. There is no direct train service from Guangzhou to Hong Kong airport -- your suggestion would've required changing from train to the MTR system.
Buses and limos are the only "direct" transport.

Travel Tips for Guangzhou

Ice Skating

by Guantanamera

Though you wouldn't immediately think of doing it in South China, there is now a full size ice skating rink in Tian He, Guangzhou's thriving business district. Located inside the vast and brand new Grandview Mall, the ice rink is situated on one of the upper levels and has become a very popular destination for recreation, especially with teenagers. You can rent skates and they also have instructors on hand that can help out beginners. There is even an actual Zamboni driver that comes out and re-ices the rink periodically...

Italian Food

by Sobe-A-Rush about The Italian Restaurant

This is a good Italian restaurant and aswell they have a buffet. It costs 66 RMB per person and all you can drink beer. During the holidays and the Fair it is more expensive and you do not get free beer. You can always order from the menu or get the buffet, if not holiday or fair time the buffet is only on weekends. Quite a few good dishes.

Provincial Capital of Guangdong

"Attention!!!"

Thanks to Sean and Laue, who were willing to go to Guangzhou with me. I had a very good day there; we did not spend a lot of time there because we need to rush back to Shenzhen. We went to three main touristic spots: Shamian island, Martyr Park, and Guangxiao Temple. I did some of my work from my Lonelyplanet China; therfore, I didn't get lost.
The photo was taken next to my train, Hexie. It is famous for commuting between Shenzhen and Guangzhou.
