If you are just looking at booking/purchasing airline tickets, any travel agent at hotels or major streets can find you the tickets for all the airlines, they are all linked by computers and the prices will be the same. There is no need to go to each airline's office.

In Beijing there is an airline ticket center several block west on the street that crosses in front of the main gate to the forbidden city. This is the destination stop (Xudan) of the #2 airport shuttle bus. I purchased a 30-40% discounted ticket from China Southern around the time of Chinese New Years using my Visa card. (Multiple airlines have offices there.)
Interestingly a week later a friend got the same discount buying his ticket at the airport.

Travel Tips for Guangzhou
Bilingual taxi destination card is useful
by SLLiew
Most taxi drivers do not speak fluent English. As Cantonese is the lingua franca, you may also have problem in listening to the heavy Cantonese accented Mandarin when it comes to names of places, etc.
So get a bilingual taxi destination card (tourist places, airport, train or bus station) from your hotel conceirge or have all the destinations you may go written on a piece of paper by the hotel staff. Fortunately, whether in Cantonese or Mandarin, the same Chinese characters are used.
So all you need is to point or tick to where you want to go.
Have the hotel number in case you need an English/Mandarin interpreter to talk to the taxi river.

Bears
by keeweechic
Seeing a Panda was a bit of a joke - they were somewhere down a black hole at the back. Hopefully by now they have cleaned their act up and the zoo has improved
Bears - their conditions were just appalling and they just seemed so sluggish to do anything.
