More about Guangzhou Grand International Hotel

Cantonese Food - Dim Sum

by jackiesg about YU JING XUAN

Yu Jing Xuan, located in the Grand International Hotel, gave me a good impression when I first stepped in. Decorated elegantly, it has a typical big Hong Kong Dim Sum restaurant settings. It has soft lighting, spacious seats and friendly waiters and waitresses (when I say friendly, it's at the GZ context, so still don't expect too much.)

As there will be no table sharing, the waiting time here is long. I waited about 40 mins to get my table. Food was fine, not really fantastic but none of the 6 dishes we ordered taste awful, so I think this restaurant is still quite okay. They also have smoking and non smoking area.

Please don't be mistaken by the picture, they serve 3 pieces, not 2 for each dish we ordered. Just that my husband had eaten 1 piece each from each plate before I have this photo taken. Haha! Char Siew So (Roast pork pastry) - Flaky pastry and the roast pork filling is rich and sweet. It still taste good after I bought home some and tried them few hours later.

Hotel Advice

by toaster808

I will be taking a train from Hong Kong to Guangzhou and staying for 3-4 days. I have found 3 hotels within my budget: Ka Ying Hotel, Skyline Hotel and IT World Hotel. Any comments on these or suggestions on other hotels would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

2) What's your budget?
3) What are you in Guangzhou for?
4) Do you need to be located near some particular place in Guangzhou?
