Where and when??

by vtecturbo

Hi all, pls help me with some questions:

1. I be travelling to GZ mid november. May i know whats the weather condition??

2. Where are the recommended places for wholesale fashion apparels??

3.Are they going to be alot of winter clothing instead during november period??

3. What are the mode of transport to travel from GZ to beijing and how long it takes??

First time to china, pls advise.
Thanks all in advance

Re: Where and when??

November weather is pleasant about 20 degrees Celcius. So there'll be lots of winter clothes selling in preparation for the colder weather usually late Dec early Jan. The temps are about 13 or 14 c during the day then.
Transport to Beijing...hi speed train direct from GZ, domestic airlines from Shenzhen or back to HK for a more reputable airline. Flights are 3hr 15mins

Domestic airlines from Guangzhou go from Baiyun Airport (code CAN) to Beijing (Code PEK). The Metro to the airport opens at the end of this month I believe. A one way ticket is CNY1600 or less (often less than 1200) and the trip takes three hours.

Also the day of the week that you fly can also affect ticket prices. You can check online using Ctrip or other online booking services.

1) Comfortably cool, I'd say.
2) Try the buildings clustered around Guangzhou main train station.
3) Yes, but most of the winter clothing I found in Guangzhou aren't too thick.
4) (not 3) Flight (couple of hours) or train (1 full day).

Travel Tips for Guangzhou

Flora of Shamian Dao.

by Guantanamera

Shamian Island is the home to many extraordinary trees, many of them as old as 200 or 300 years...! Most of them have a small sign attached to them telling the age of the tree... Many tropical varieties can be found such as the famous banyan trees that have populated this region of China for ages...

Bus

by stefantung

Guangzhou bus is convenient, but not confortable, I think. There are always full of people and the bus is a bit small. But the buses can travel to almost everywhere in Guangzhou, even some remote area. The fare is about CNY 3 (Euro 0.3, US$ 0.38). If you want to save money, travelling by bus is a good choice.
There is announcement on the bus, telling you the location of the next bus stop. But it is only in Putonghua. It may not be useful to foreigners. And the announcement is low in voice. It is difficult to hear what it said. So ... please rely on your map and ask the others if you are not sure where to get off.

The Chinese Export Commodities Fair

by xiquinho

The Chinese Export Commodities Fair, also known as the Canton Fair, is regularly held during spring and autumn every year since its inception in 1957. It is China's largest-scale trade fair in terms of the commodity varieties, attendance rate as well as business turnovers. The Fair has successfully fostered business activities and improved the ties between Chinese and foreign enterprises.
