In the Shamian area there are also few tourists shops where you can buy items & souvenirs. It might be a little bit more expensive but still relatively cheap, they will speak English and it is less crowded here.

Shenzhen or Guangzhou
I wanted to get in some bargain shopping and some good health spas for my May trip to China. I've been to Shenzhen back in 2004 but have heard it's lost it's appeal. I'm after some good quality copies of business shirts (the Gorgio Armani copies lasted 3 years!),some shoes and handbags and gifts for the relatives...and a lot of pampering for me.
Are the good quality copies available in Guangzhou? and if so where, or should I stick to Shenzhen?
Any suggestions for health spas would be great too.
Shenzhen or Guangzhou for shopping?
Good quality handbag copies are available in Guangzhou. The area southwest of Beijing Street and certain shops on Renmin Road are the places to go in Guanghzou. I get a lot of good Louis Vuitton stuff there at bargain prices.

In case that you might want to go to explore some copy hand bags, shoes and other accesorries stuff you can check out Guihua Gang Handbags Markets located in Ave. Jiefang Bei.It is said the biggest handbag market in China and there are nearly 5000 brands in various qualities.
As to healthy Spa,Spelland is not a bad choice. In fact it is popular in the city.Always get over booked on weekends. Convient on the road just a few minutes from the Mtr station. Get the ticket which is due to expired in 24hrs, one can hv a whole day and get relaxed.

Surely you can find world top brand famous in Guangzhou. There are some shops around Guangzhou Garden Hotel where you can find shirt, suit, shoe, hangbag copies of world top brands. There are two or three shops "hidden" in some commercial buildings. Some foreign people working around will do shopping there.

Or you may wanna try the outlet located in Panyu, if you hv time. It is inside the Wanbo Center, which is rite next to the funiture market. It is located in Rd. Yingbin, Nancun, Panyu district. There are Espirit, Nike, Addidas and other brands for clothes, and Bally, TAta for shoes. It is convient to take a taxi there too or take Bus No. 129 and 221.

It also has got the name of "Flower City" and "Five Goats City". Do you know how did they come from?
