Go to Guangzhou main train station and catch one of those extremely frequent D trains to Shenzhen for 75 RMB.
From Shenzhen train station (Luohu stop on Shenzhen's metro system), catch the metro to Huaqiang Road stop to get to SEG electronics market.

Travel Tips for Guangzhou

Markets are not for the queasy stomachs......

by herzog63

If your stomach gets queasy from watching animals get butchered before your very eyes do not visit the Qing Ping market!!! Animals of all variations are on display and being butchered fresh to be taken home for a good home cooked meal!! Also watch where you step as there are open drains for the blood to be washed away!!

Seafood all the way

by vieviengan about Hong Xing Seafood Restaurant

All seafood are fresh from the aquarium , you may just pick and ask them to cook for you , make sure you know what seafood you order . The best its the abalone that is cheap , just tell them or maybe can ask them to suggest you how you want it to be done .

Guangzhou Orchid Garden stone formation.

by Guantanamera

In the picture here, I am posing alongside a large intricate stone formation that is one of the key art pieces of the garden... With an enclosed lower level and chiseled staircase leading to the upper level, this jagged tower of stone is a fantastic resting point from which to observe the sights and sounds of the botanical garden...
