In case you have not found this information locally, I just looked at a web site http://wikitravel.org/en/Guangzhou#Get_in which explains a lot about transport and other things. It says there is a bus to HK Intl airport leaving from China Hotel then Garden Hotel and other places in Guangzhou.
The trip takes about 3+ hours and costs 250 HKD.
Seems that China Travel Tours runs the service: http://ctsbus.hkcts.com/
Hope someone else provides you with the missing info like timings.

Look here:
http://www.trans-island.com.hk/eng/china-line.html

It says fare is HK$220. There are 8 departures a day from Garden Hotel, 6 a day from Rosedale Hotel, 6 from Guangzhou Hotel, 1 from Yitai, 8 from China Hotel, and 7 from Dongfang Hotel.

Price is high because at the border (Huanggang) you change to an airport limousine. It may be a lot cheaper to take a bus just into HK itself - on Lai Chi Kok Road near Prince Edward MTR Metropark Hotel. Then make your own way to the airport, such as metro to Hung Hom where you can take airport bus (?A21, HK$33).

You can also take HK bus from Landmark Canton hotel, on Haizhu Square.

Price of 220 isnt bad.
A bus to Shenzhen is around 80. Then 30 by taxi to border crossing then 125 by limo to airpot or alternatively 38 by train to TsimSha Tsui then 100 to aiport by airport train is comparable considering you dont have to stuff around. I would take the 220 for the convenience alone.

Travel Tips for Guangzhou

Wong Faye or Tony Iommi.

by Guantanamera

Hey kids, here's a photo of famed heavy metal icon and Black Sabbath guitarist Tony Iommi... When I was in Guangzhou, playing some of my Western music cd's for Xiujuan, she listened to the Black Sabbath song "Iron Man" and proclaimed it "interesting"... People in Guangzhou aren't generally very familiar with the supposedly "world famous" musicians of the Western world... Music stars like Faye Wong from neighboring Hong Kong (called Wong Faye on the mainland) and other parts of China tend to be much much more popular... But you know, kids, Ozzy once said: "Tony Iommi is the HEAVIEST motherf****r that ever lived!" And I would have to agree with that statement...

Eat anything you want...

by Sobe-A-Rush about China Hotel Buffet

When you go into the China Hotel go up the stairs right in front of you, then turn right and on the right hang side you have a Buffet restaurant. It is 200RMB per person for all you can eat and sit there as long as you want. Drinks do cost extra. They have all kinds of food there, a lot of food to choose from. Steak and es-cargot

Renmin Park

by Willettsworld

This particular Renmin Park, or People's Park, was my first one in China where I got to see everyday Chinese people do what they do well and that is either relaxing, doing Tai chi, playing ping pong, badminton, chess, card games or dominos, dancing or singing. The Chinese utilise these parks very well and they are always a hive of activity and a great source to see what everyday Chinese do in their spare time.

This particular park was built in 1917 and measures 48,400 square meters. It was originally named "The first park" before changing its name to "Central Park" in 1926 before changing again to its present name in 1966. The park features many sculptures, archways and pavilions. The large building at the back of the park is the Guangzhou Municipal Government Office.
