The only airlines flying this route are China Southern and Korean Air.
Email me at ellyse99@yahoo.com and put "VirtualTourist" and your own username (eg anything04) in the subject line, include your dates of travel if you want me to check the schedules for you.

Travel Tips for Guangzhou
When in China BYOP bring your own paper
by DanzaoKid
June - Be sure to bring rain gear this time of the year. Beware of off brand batteries in China because they can leak! Be sure to remove them after your trip. Better yet, bring your own rechargeable NiMh and save $$ since these batteries last longer than many alkalines and you'll always have some on hand. Be sure the charger you use can handle both 120vac and 240vac. Note that no adapter is needed for using USA "two prong" plugs in China outlets. The grounded "Three prong" outlets will need an adapter unless you decide to snip off that 3rd prong. An adapter will be needed for both 2 & 3 prong plugs in Hong Kong because their outlets are different than those in China. Also an adapter will be needed for any HK 220-240 vac plug to be used in China (or China plug used in HK) even though they are both the same voltage 220-240 vac because they are very different (british influence?). Bring your own tissues and napkins for both bathrooms and restaurants and even some hotels. They either are of very poor quality or do not exist. Beware - the package of napkins the restaurants leave on your table aren't free! They will charge you for each one of them. $2 RMB or more.
total disappointment
by chihiro75 about Guangzhou Restaurant
Recommended by both Frommer's and LP, we went out of our way to have lunch at this place. We were staying at White Swan and really enjoying the food there, and expected something as good if not better. The service was very unpleasant, even though we went to the most expensive floor for real cuisine and not snacks, the food was mediocre at best. Not bad, but no comparison with White Swan or in, another type of food, the dim sum place. Total disappointment and absolutely not worth the expense. The food is not bad, but not what you would expect after the reviews in the guides. Even though the White Swan is more expensive, it's a different class altogether and I would much rather pay more and have real Cantonese high quality cuisine at White Swan, or pay much less and have good dim sum with lots of atmosphere at the dim sum place (see other tip).
Sun Yatsen Memorial Hall
by Willettsworld
The 49m/161ft high Sun Yatsen Memorial Hall is located at the southern end of Yuexiu Gongyuan Park and is dedicated to the memory of Dr Sun Yatsen, who was the first president of the Chinese Republic, which was founded in 1911. This imposing octagonal building was erected in 1931 in the classical Chinese style. The hall, which is used for cultural events, has space for more than 4000 people.
In the gardens in front of the hall can be seen a bronze statue of Sun Yatsen, erected in 1956, while to the west lies a small museum which keeps the politician's memory alive.
Open: 8am-6pm. Admission: RMB10.
