Dinner time...
Can anybody give me directions or addresses to places in guangzhou where lovers can go to have some "fun"? In the Philippines or Japan there are these hotels filled with gadgets and toys for the sexually adventurous. I was wondering if there are such hotels in Guangzhou that are NOT cheap or DIRTY. Thank you for your help.
I only stay at regular 3 star and above hotels. In some locations in China I have stayed in much less. I have never seen anything like this. It may be against some obscure Chinese law. It certainly is out of character for a Chinese oriented hotel. If you want to have toys in the hotel, bring your own or find an appropriate shop near the hotel.
Have heard about these in Japan and Korea, not sure about Philippines, and haven't heard of or found any in mainland China.
Have not heard of any place like that but then no one ever ask me to share thos experiences. Perhpas Macau??
The word Coca-Cola is the notorious and legendary example of unfortunate brand name translation between languages... Since in Chinese, it means "bite the wax tadpole", the Coca-Cola company changed their name to a phrase meaning "happiness in the mouth", thusly placating their Chinese customers... Chinese Coke tastes a little different than American Coke but I still say that Roman Coca-Cola is the best tasting in the entire world...!
The wait staff spoke almost no English (I should have guessed since we were the only non-Asian patrons) but were very helpful. My son tried to order a couple things that sounded good, but I guess the waitress knew it wasn't what he would be expecting, and steered us to some other menu items. Pineapple rice - very good fried rice with pineapple and shrimp. Huge serving, much more than I could eat! Everything that we got there was very good.
Welcome to automobiles, fast replacing bicycles in many of China's larger cities. We met an engineer and his Chinese wife on our Yangtze River cruise. He had been hired as a consultant by one of the major auto manufacturer's in China straight out of Detroit. Then he got stolen away by Volkswagen who is also making vehicles here.
His wife had been his interpreter when he first came to China, now she's his boss.
