Visiting Guangzhou in April 2010

by beewild

Hello there,

We'll be in there for the trade fair and looking for some local Hospitality.

We would like to meet some locals that can teach us where all the best local places are.

We happy to create friendship for a possible exchange of Hospitality when you visit South Africa.

Mail me and let's get together:)

Have you heard of CouchSurfing? You might like to meet some travellers or hosts from that site. If you'll email me I'll send you a referral -- email to ellyse99@yahoo.com and put "VirtualTourist" and your own username (eg BeeWild) in the subject line.

Travel Tips for Guangzhou

San Yuan Li at night

by l_joo

San Yuan Li at night is a place where you can see a street full of tables eating drinking and night bazaar. Here is also a place for low cost accomodation, cost RMB120 double bed. If you have been to New Delhi's Paharganj (Main Bazaar), this is quite similar a Paharganj of Guangzhou.

White Cloud Airport

This obelisk was built in 1929, four years after Sun's death, and is made from granite and marble blocks. Sun Yatsen is revered as the man who overthrew the Qing Dynasty and removed the emperors, paving the way for a democratic China that was never fully realized... Bertolucci's classic film "The Last Emperor", deals with these events...
