Pearl River

Walking by the Pearl River is certainly my favorite thing about Guangzhou. I would suggest you walk by the south side and enjoy the scene on the north side. And it is fun to see how local families enjoy a walk together after dinner there.

There is a very famous CHEN FAMILY in Guangzhou history. But none of them, for all their past significance and fame, rival this young lady, she is the HOTTIE of Guangdong Province and well known throughout China.
If she is appearing, there will be a crowd. She does commercials, models, sings, dances, and is on the risque side, she's the IT girl of China. Jennifer Chen.
That is what the CHEN FAMILY has come to, I'm afraid. Suggest you put on more that she's wearing.
Sculpture Of The 5 Rams
by joecooper
In Yuexiu Park you'll find The Sculpture of the Five Rams, the symbol of Guangzhou. It was erected in 1959 at the top of Yuexiu Hill. Legend has it that long ago there were five celestial beings, who wore robes of five colours. One day they rode rams through the air to Guangzhou, each carrying a stem of rice. They presented the people with the rice stems as a sign from heaven that the area would be free from famine forever. Apparently the city than took the name City of Rams, or Goat City. Guangzhou in Chinese, however, means 'broad region".
