Situated next to Xiajiu Road and spanning eight streets, the Hualin Street jade market is full of small shops.
One can find jade ovals, studs, pendants and bangles, as well as small jade decorations of all shapes and colours (red, green, yellow, grey, white, black)
Some of the shops offers certificates of authenticity for A class pieces. Anything from 10 to 10000 RMB. It depends on the quality, size, color.

Shamian & Cuizhou Parks

The two cannon in Shamian Park were manufactured in the neighbouring city of Foshan for use during the mid-19th century Opium Wars between the British and Chinese. They were used by the Chinese and each weigh 6,600lbs.

"My Second Hometown Guangzhou"

I didn't mean to stay there for such a long time, but then it has become my "home" -- 10 years!

What I liked in this city is its LIFE, which you can see everywhere. People are passionate, enthusiastic, ambitious... Activities are everyday, everwhere so that even ten years hadn't bored me at all.

I made so many wonderful friends there, and then, ecpected or not, I found myself becoming one of them.

I once had a small book bar with the theme of travel in this city. As I moved to Cananda, this bar was closed. The picture shows some friends and me in the bar.

Guangzhou, a city with more than 2200 years, is going with fast pace to "modernization". High buildings are booming... you can still find some small lanes, with an archway like this from time to time, however, you normally cannot walk long till you find yourself standing some open where ----- a new construction site.
