GZ - HK

by vieviengan

I will be in GZ for few days and later to HK . I would like to know how can I go to Hk ? what is the schedule for bus/ train from GZ , and how much is it ?

Re: GZ - HK

easiest is by (intercity through) train from GZ East, directly to Hung Hom (in Kowloon).

departures are hourly or so, there's a lot of information at their web site (schedule, prices) here:

other option is by bus, but i find train more straghtforward as you clear customs at train station before departure and later as you arrive to Hung Hom for HK customs.

Cool views of the city

From the top of the Flower Pagoda at Temple of the Six Banyan Trees you can get some wonderful views of the city...I'm sure if you go up there now your view won't look anything like the view in my photo!!

I hired a car from Chep Lap...

by jevdsnny

I hired a car from Chep Lap Kok and drove to Shenzen where I stayed the night. The Island Shangri-La hotels have very nice drivers and cars (mostly Mercedes limos) for pretty cheap. I think my ride was US$100.
I hired a car for around US$25/hr. It was clean with a nice driver, but the driver did not speak English.

Baiyun Shan - Nengren Temple

by jlee008

Since I traveled to China, I noticed how much Buddism is really a large part of the culture. They take their temples very seriously. There is even a temple on Baiyun Shan!! It of course only makes sense. You can enter the temple, offer incense, and say your prayers!!
