Arrived late in Shantou and chosed to stay at one of the better hotel in downtown.
Excellent room although you pay for it.
Right in downtown and close to restaurants and night entertainment centers. There are readily available taxis, motorcycle taxis and trishaw taxis to get you around. Or you can stretch your feet.
Relatively new hotel with 3 star rating. Popular with local business travellers.
First went to Overseas Chinese Mansion and found it was quite run down.
So glad to find this nicer hotel even though it is a short distance from heart of downtown across the river. Took the trishaw around.
The price for hotels can be much higher if you don't book online. So remember to book online. I've tried with www.cnbooking.com. Maybe since it is located in Guangdong, it provides pretty reasonable price for hotels in Guangdong.
