Oldest Hotel with educated staff
The Golden Gulf Hotel is centrally located near all the shopping areas. It is walking distance to Wal Mart, and other shoppping areas, and if you are new to shantou, you can stroll around and find places to eat and shop nearby.
The business center is the best in town, and they can help arrange any deatils you might need ,whether it is bus tickets or shopping needs.
The hotel is a little old and quite dark, but if you get a good rate and you are not too picky, then its not too bad. The rooms are decent with cable tv available.
If you are looking for a new modern hotel, then this is not the place.
Note: The gym and swimming pool are outdated.
