Good value and location
We stayed in the Days Inn Shenzhen for 1 night. We booked through Hrs.de and paid 47 Euros, including breakfast. When we arrived, we took an upgrade for 10 Euros and got the suite. The room is nice, nothing spectacular, but clean, spacy, etc. They have a lot of "stimulating" attributes in the room which you can purchase, so wonder what kind of people come there :)
The staff was reasonably good in English.
The breakfast was a mix of European/Chinese. Not bad, though nothing spectacular.
The location is really good, right next to the Dongmen shopping street.
-The toiletpaper is really good compared to other places in Asia :)
-Beware, even if you show the cabdriver the location and signs in Chinese, you are most likely to be driven to the Days hotel about 10 minutes from the Days Inn. It happened 2 out of 2 times to us. But how to explain the cabdriver that you need to go to Days Inn instead of Days, even with map/Chinese signs? :)
All in all a good deal.

Guess it depends on what you mean by budget. I know guys who stay in that area and RMB200 per night max (sometimes only 100) Use 7 to 1 for US conversion so to me that is cheap. I do not know the name of the hotels but try 7Day or City Inn
