old city and Jia Feng Lu

by barny1957

Can anyone tell me where this area is?
An old post says "just take the metro and get off at Jia feng Lu station you are right there" but I can't find this station on any of the maps. Thanks

It's past the Hong Kong border and is in the economic zone. Cheers tommy x

I know it is passed the border. I have been to Shenzhen before. Can you be more specific as to the actually area or streets?

Jia Feng Lu leaves you in the heart of shopping district , especally for computers and electronics . In the Louhu District, I think the closest station is Da Ju Yuan. I hope this helps,Cheers

Do you mean JieFangLu? If so Dajuyuan (Grand Theatre I think) railway station is right. It is just east of the large park where Shennan Blvd meets Jiefanglu. My visits to that area were only ever to the PSB station so I am not sure about the Old City Area but it sounds right.

Travel Tips for Shenzhen

Dongmen Wholesale District

by horizon2006

Some visitors will venture as far as the Dongmen Wholesale District where mostly the locals go. If you won’t mind the crowd and the language problem try Dongmen as the prices will start at about ½ of Lo Wu; but then you have to be very careful of your wallet as foreigners will standout like beacons in the dark (with $$ sign on top).

To your destination in Shenzhen: the easiest way

by Alain_Smeets

For a foreigner without any help from a friend or supplier it will be not so easy to get to your place of destination. If you are alone, just take a taxi and show them the Chinese address and they will bring you there.

But make sure that you have the address with you in Chinese writing, not all of them can read and understand English.

When you leave the Fu Yong Ferry Terminal, you will see a lot of taxis waiting and just take the first in line.

When you leave the China immigration, walk towards the shopping centre and lot’s of people will ask you if you need a taxi. You can follow one of them or just go up the stairs towards the shopping centre and then down again and you see a line of taxis waiting.

The colours are bright, beautiful and very western-like ...

In daytime it really looks friendly, kind and exciting ...

Is this the boast and bustling area of Shenzhen, metropolitan of China?

Yes, it is!
