Niagara Falls @ Windows of the World
by SLLiew
I was rather impressed by the trouble taken to create the tumbling Niagara Falls in this park.
As I have not been to the real Niagara Falls, I can see, hear and even feel the falls. The park also reproduced the Grand Canyon and cover famous sites and natural landscapes of the five continents.
Each location also have their own performances and so check the time schedule to learn more about each.
For the Niagara falls, no description needed. One of my favorites for the efforts put into it.
subway your way
by zephyrgurl108
no speaky chinesey? try the subway. the names of the places are written in english. all you have to do is remember which stands for what;
luo hu - to cross the border going to hk and shopping in the luo hu mall
guo mao - exit this and you will find yourself in a modern mall, cross the street and there's an HSBC
lao jie = is the dongmen shopping area.
etc.
no need to deal with non-english speaking taxi drivers, plus the ride is cheap - from 2 RMB up. it runs from luo hu to oct - overseas chinese town (shi jie chi chuang), where all the theme parks are - happy valley, windows of the world, etc.
its just easier, faster and cheaper
a tip - due to the long, messy lines at the ticket machines, it's better to purchase a train card which costs 100 yuan, with a 50 yuan balance. it's really helpful when youre in a hurry.
feast for eyes and stomach at summer tea house
by zephyrgurl108 about the summer tea house vegetarian restaurant
first of all, it's a BIG place. it seats for sure at least a hundred people. second, they have a wonderful interior that's sure to please the eyes - there are lounge chairs with cofee table for a more relaxed dining, there are private rooms with it looks like antique decors, cool statues all over the place, and more. the food was great too. should definitely go back to try the other dishes.
PS theres even a prayer room, with amazing statues of Buddha and other great characters from buddhist tradition. everything!

"Shenzhen - border city across from Hong Kong"
Shenzhen is a city just across the border from Hong Kong. In about 50 minutes, you can be in Shenzhen by taking the Kowloon-Canton Railway from Tsim Sha Tsui station. The main attraction in Shenzhen is the Windows on the World.
