not too much
Travel light, you will have to carry everything with you through customs, and there will probably be a long line. Most Hotels have a great laundry service. Take an umbrella, southern China is tropical.

I will be getting from Macau to Shekou.
Any cheaper alternatives other than Turbojet Ferry that cost me HKD171?
How about departing from fro New Macau Ferry Terminal? Any ferries there? Cheaper?
If really have to take Turbojet, on a Tuesday, do you think we should book our tickets online first?
Thanks!
You can go by bus but it may be cheaper but it is a whole lot less convenient.
No other ferry ! So If you want to be convenient , you have't other choice. If you take the bus ,you must take the bus to Zhuhai ,Then change the bus from Zhuhai to Shenzhen ,It will take you treble time. so I think HDK171 is the best choice
You had better Travel Shenzhen first ,then go to Macau from Shenzhen. and Macau to HK , I think this is the most convenient and cheapest.
I think the bus costs around 90 RMB from Zhuhai (just across the border from Macau) but it'd take perhaps 3 hours to get to Shenzhen.

KCRC (Kowloon Canton Railway) operates domestic as well as cross-boundary passenger services to the mainland China. To go to Shenzhen, simply take a train to Lo Wu Station (the mainland boundary), and walk pass the immigration counters. It take 30 mins travelling from Hung Hom terminus to Lo Wu Station.

In the land of tea, coffeehouses sure are getting their fair share of customers. And one newcomer in the market is Andes Cafe. Boasting of true Columbian coffee, this cafe is a nice addition to Shenzhen's many cafes. it's the Starbucks alternative, it's quiet, with a stylish interior, and free wireless internet plus excellent service. cafe mocha and their cookies are great
The Hong Fa Temple is the only "real" Buddhist temple in Shenzhen according to the Temple Guy himself. It is nestled at the bottom of a mountain. And if you go on a climbing trip to Mt. Wutong, one of the trails ends up here. It sort of brings a spiritual touch to mountain climbing. Making the arduous trek and ending in a holy place is like our journey in this world, and ending in salvation or enlightenment. But I digress.
The temple is huge, with many halls dedicated to various Buddhist figures with big ones such as the Laughing Buddha and Amitabha buddha.
Incense and flowers are available at the main entrance for a small fee if you want to make an offering. The temple is overlooking the beautiful Fairy Lake.
No entrance fee to the temple but the grounds it is on - the Fairy Lake Botanical Garden - charges RMB20 to get in. Once there, a mini-bus takes you up to the temple which should cost you around RMB2 one way.
