Shenzhen: Profile of the City
by victorwkf
Shenzhen city is one of the most modern and rapid growing city in China, thanks to its close proximity to Hong Kong. Shenzhen began as a small town and grew rapidly recently, in fact most of the people living in Shenzhen are from all over China and other countries (the local people only make up a small percentage). Because of modernisation, land in Shenzhen is expensive and the properties in the city are too high to be affordable to most local people. There are lots of shopping in Shenzhen but you have to be very careful of the notorous pickpockets here.
